Overview

Despite widespread use of antiretroviral therapy, pulmonary disease remains a significant cause of morbidity and mortality among patients with HIV infection.  By the end of this webinar, you should be able to:

• Explain common pulmonary illnesses associated with HIV
• Describe importance of prompt diagnosis and institution of appropriate therapy for respiratory complications associated with HIV
• Discuss screening and a diagnostic approach

Description 

The Masterclass in HIV are bitesize virtual events that include: 

• medical updates on topics related to HIV 
• interactive case-based discussions 
• sessions on Advanced Clinical Care for people living with HIV

The program is highly recommended for those who intend to sit the Diploma in HIV Medicine exams, Medical Doctors and NIMART trained Nurse.

CPD certificates are issued within 24 hours of attending the class.

The classes covers both HIV, STI and associated opportunistic infections and is intended to provide in depth knowledge of HIV clinical management based on local and international evidence based guidelines.   It is a modular course. You can apply to attend some or all of the following modules.

Course Design

HIV Masterclasses are hosted virtually via zoom webinar every Thursday 18:00 till 19:30.

Medical officers, Clinical Associates , NIMART trained Professional Nurses,Clinical Associates, Pharmacists, and Allied Healthcare workers

Assessments are conducted throughout the duration of the course through exercises, participation on the online forum, and  simulated case studies.
