About the event
Many individuals failing antiretroviral therapy (ART) in sub-Saharan Africa never initiate second/third-line ART or do so after significant delay. Delayed switch places patients at increased risk for opportunistic infections and mortality. This webinar will outline a practical approach for the assessment of patients with high viral loads and timely switching to 2nd or 3rd line ART regimens as per Department of Health Guidelines.
